House hunting....just a quick rant

My husband and I have been house shopping for about a year now...it's starting to get really frustrating.

When you first start looking it is so much fun and you are so excited but after seeing a few houses (or in our case a few dozen houses) it starts to get old really quick.  The fun of it kind of fades away after you get really excited about a few of those houses and you make an offer only to have it turned down or have the house sell before you even get a chance to make an offer...

I'm one of those people that has to try to picture themself in the house and where I would put things before I even consider trying to get it.  The problem with this being that I then begin to build an emotional attachment to the house before we even sign the contract!

What makes it even more frustrating is when all these other people who are my age and haven't been searching nearly as long as we have, post picture of the new houses they got (which are gorgeous!!!) and we are STILL searching... ( no offense to them of course, I'm just being jealous of their luck!! lol)  I don't understand how people are affording houses nowadays anyway!!! Its insane!!!

Anyway.....that's my vent for the day...I'm not really sure where I was going with any of this..just felt the need to let off some steam/frustration.  Thanks for listening!
