I know it's a little late to be posting about it now but we have been so busy with moving/unpacking that I just got a chance now! Also, I couldn't post BEFORE Valentine's Day because I was afraid he would snoop! lol!!
We decided to go cheap this year since we just moved into the house and needed to save our money for furniture and whatnot so I wanted to make him a really sweet present. While playing around on Pinterest I found this idea to do a "52 Reasons I love you" book made out of a deck of cards. I thought it was such a cute idea and wanted to give it a try!
Basically it is a little handmade book with reasons why you are so in love with the man in your life. As I mentioned before the hubby and I are very lovey dovey so this is a great idea for us....and I like to give him at least one handmade gift. They just seem like they mean more.. =)
You will need:
Deck of cards
Hole punch
Ribbon or Binder rings (to hold book together)
Glue, double-sided tape, or Photo sticker squares
Embellishments (photos, stickers, rhinestones, flowers, whatever you want)
Paper (to write your "love notes")
Scissors
How to:
Start with a deck of cards....I found mine at K-Mart for $1.25. Punch a hole in the top left and bottom left of each card.
Next, cut out a small square (small enough to fit on the card, but large enough to be able to write whatever you want on it). You could also type it up on a computer, I guess....I just hand-wrote mine.
(pictured are the photo squares I used to attach the squares to the card, and also the squares that I cut out)
Once you have all of your cards written out and decorated, use the ribbon or binder rings to "attach" all of the pages and make a book!
Tada!! That's how I made my "52 Reasons I Love you" Book. He loved it!
Our bedroom was only half set up in this picture...We finally got our dressers and nightstands moved in.
I found these really neat stickers at Target. You can write on them with a dry erase marker and wipe it off and write a new message! I think we may leave it on the closet door for a while and write messages back and forth to each other. LOL
Rose petals down the hallway..... and OH YEAH, that's our new carpet!! lol Yayyy!!
The beautiful flowers my hubby bought me <3 He also got me a beautiful necklace, strawberries and whipped cream (my favorite!!), chocolate covered cherries AND he made me dinner! I'm spoiled! lol
I actually curled my hair too! Unfortunately you can't really see it tho.... =P
I hope you had a great Valentine's day with the ones you love <3

Awww..how beautiful. I couldn't help smiling at that. You two seem like the perfect couple.
