Okay, how many of you watched the Superbowl yesterday?? I caught half of the game and got to see the Madonna halftime show.
The past few years I have been pretty disappointed in the halftime show. They kept picking the worst people!! This year when I heard it was Madonna, I kinda said "Ehhh....". I'm not really a huge fan. I have to say that her halftime show was probably the best that I've seen in a very long time. It was a bit over the top but that's just how Madonna is. Especially, the very beginning with all the Roman type men. I loved that she had Cee Lo singing the last song with her, though. Their voices actually blended really well.
I was disappointed that M.I.A.(female rapper) decided that she would flick off the camera in the middle of her "solo" and cause yet another Halftime show scandal. (The previous one being Janet Jackson's wardrobe malfunction). I guess some people will do anything for publicity.

Also, who were you rooting for? I was rooting for the Giants. I am a Steeler fan so I didn't want Tom Brady getting that ring and tying with Terry Bradshaw's 4 Superbowl rings! haha!
I absolutely loved loved loved loved the halftime show!! I am A HUGE Madonna fan... and I think she was AMAZING!!!! A lot of peeps are giving her crap for lip syncing and the woman is like what 51?? and works out like 8 hours a day... she CAN dance around and sing live and not be out of breath... so I don't think she lip synced.. I have seen her live before and she is just WOW on stage! :):):):):):):):):):) And that girl MIA... just stupid what she did... shaking my head at that one... and I am a NY'er... so you know I was happy last night! lol! :):):):):):):):):):):)
ReplyDeleteI'm not normally a huge fan of Madonna, but for being 50 something she looks good! LOL I liked her choreography but I just thought the entrance was a little much...lol I kind of laughed. But it's Madonna so it makes sense haha!
DeleteGirl, they had the superbowl without the Steelers?!? lol Yeah, we were screaming for the Giants for the same reason--and yes, halftime was cool, MIA is an idiot attention whore. *sigh* With three boys under 12, I am so tired of having to explain/discuss/excuse/or threaten over these things. ("If you EVER bring home a girl that does that.....")

DeleteI wasn't too excited to hear it would be Madonna (I haven't liked her music in a long time) but I must say, she wasn't TERRIBLE. I sat there waiting to have something to make fun of but it really wasn't a terrible performance.
